i went to sleep at 8:00 last night and woke up at 8 :30 this morning, i am still tired today. I did clean a closet and watch a documentary on helvetica. more or less, winter is setting in; food consumption is up, there is a huge increase in lack of motivation for anything that involves getting out of the bed, wanting taking cabs to all destinations.... the list will continue, i'm sure.

tonight, i had an informative walk down baltimore ave and an equally complicated taxi ride home.

during yoga tonight, i had various self soothing images surface; water, greens, blues, the infamous ride in the car with my mom, -we- looking at each other in the side view mirror and us smiling.

still working, still shopping. i just some how found a new set of ariel pink records that i couldn't resist. i also found out that i missed him by one month.
i couldn't begin to tell you how i no longer have any control over my brain. meaning all names, times, places, facts, task, anything, you name it, i can't think about it straight. something must of happened and it makes me feel weird.

this weekend fishythree and i went to brooklyn to visit our friend elle rex. this visit was short and hot but exciting. waterfalls in new york? yes, olafur eliasson has installed his waterfall installation in a few places in new york. as seen below, the brooklyn bridge has been the sight of many eyes lately. i was told that your eyes can get transfixed on the flowing water for hours. when in new york, grab some beers and a good make out date, hang out.

here is the room and the art of my friend savannah. living in the infamous 309 house in pensacola, savannah has turn the already envied room, on the 2 floor of the house, into an even more sought out jem for everyone who already knows of its beauty. king size bed, a/c, the luck of late night returns and never knowing who is going to be sleeping in the bed, i have to say that this room is one of my favorite destinations in the south. also to include, savannah and her strange eye for all the dirt and broken forgottens, i always get inspired to sharpen my eye and look harder at the ground for the chance of finding something odd.

on my way home to florida, i flew us airways and had the pleasure of walking through the new terminal in the philadelphia airport. it was extremely pleasant and to my surprise, the local philadelphia wood worker that i did a previous post on, had his beautiful fix gear bike on display and on the fast sidewalk (hum) there were these very interesting bird mobiles. it was the best 2 hours i spent in an airport.

it has been a while, i know, but i am currently exhausted to the point where sleeping has become my new "going out." today i took my extra hours that my great employers gave me and actually did something worthwhile, i sliced up the junk mail and clean off my desk, and here it is, new inspiration to get back on this thing. while checking all my old favorite blogs, i found something great, as always. ok, so let me live here in this beautiful home, that is clean and white; something i need for sure, bright, small, cozy spaces.

so, i remember watching this british show with an old friend a long time ago. how did i almost forget how absolutely weird Garth Marenghi's Darkplace really was. the show aired for i think 5 or 6 episodes then i'm guessing the general public didn't approve. for all you who haven't experienced this wonderful show, take some time on youtube and be ready to get impressed. i also think the girl looks like my friend alex, for those who know, you know.

i'm back and to be honest, i was sad the first moments here, at home, i really felt like i wasn't ready. i did see my wonderful friends and get the pleasure of having a routine again. there is something great about space, and i mean space in so many ways.

there are the times when you get home after a night of whatevers; when you find yourself trying to find the right song to listen to, the outfit that you think you could have the best dreams in, or mostly in my case, trying to fill the brita fast enough before you give up and fall asleep dehydrated.
i realized that while i'm watching the brita filter all those little things that i don't really know anything about, i have came to many conclusions about many things. there is something about watching those little drops that seem so tiny, fill the pitcher, even after you can't actually see the drops anymore and the water line is just getting higher and higher, there is something great about the whole episode. we have all been there, at the same time with the same intentions, waiting patiently, and in the end, the water pitcher full and all, with new conclusions met, i end up feeling like i figured out something new, like i experienced a realization or something. I usually end up going to bed with new thoughts and a good outfit to dream in; its kind of like the late night yoga for people like myself.

yesterday kind of slipped by without me really knowing what was going on. I read in a book once on what the author called flow. Flow is something you get when you are doing something and hours pass before you realize that hours have been passing. I can say that of course having fun will do that to you but there is some parallel between the two. The notion is is that you find the activities that give you the most "flow" and try to incorporate that into your daily life.

there are always those impractical things like searching through all of chicago's scene pictures (but) i did find a photo of these cute girls which inspired me to go to Pura Family corner store and buy a box of brown black hair dye and a cup of cookies and cream ice cream. after getting nasty, i made plans to lay on the river with a bottle of wine, followed by 25 cent snacks coming my my way.

to follow up

im still staying at the loft and i went to see the up stairs neighbors apartment. they had this marc jacobs ad on their fridge and i thought "oh yeah,i really liked that ad" without really realizing who it was at first, i figured it out and thought, " i was the last person to know that that cute guy was harmony korine" i watched all of his movies when i was younger and glad that i did then because honestly they are a little much, but amazing.

at 23 he made some weirdo films and a book that you can spend some money on if your really interested.

there has been talk about this thing that we call blogs. after talking to many people about this new medium called blogging, many people seem to have there own ideas for starting a one. i think, why not, its easy and you get to say, " we'll if you read my last post, it explains......." please do.. i'd like to know what you have to say.

light bulbs, they can make a space, comfortable, horrible, confusing, nice.
lighting is so important to the character of a space, having encountered many different lighting scenarios, i can say that many of my feelings pertaining to a space, have been due to the lighting factor. there is something so simple and great about how you can manipulate such a basic thing and make a completely new feeling and warmth come from this manipulation, the manipulation of light. the basic hope is is that i can understand this thing called lighting and master the art of understanding it.

after a night of dancing, being brave, and getting funny with some of the most beautiful ladies i know, cousteau and i are in the covers dreaming about all the minutes of our new day; what can we do to possibly make tomorrow be a day worth having a kind feeling for.

ok,ok its been a while. the weather is just so nice that i just can't stay inside for too long without feeling bored. so far, this spring looks like its doing good.

i really can't believe how many amazing photos are on flickr. the thought is over whelming. some people just really have it together, i mean i have like 20 photos and some people are working on 2,000 and most of them are amazing. like Kidv2's photos. i have no time to search through all of them but i did find some jems.

oh, conrad did a post on the disenchanted playroom which are photographs of children watching television. it is so worth looking at, very interesting.

i realized that it has been a while since i have posted something. i'm finishing up the school year. what happened this year? i don't know, but reading a few chapters in emerging adulthood is very interesting... well, lately i have been regressing to old favorites of mine, like listing to old bands and digging through all of those little memories that i have saved for a rainy day. it's taking me back, all this reminiscing.

i remember looking a band photos and getting so excited about the idea. they always looked so good (and bad sometimes) but nevertheless inspiring. you know, from little baby pensacola, i was trying to get on some tip that i didn't know about from some place far away. seeing a good photo could inspire, not only my fashion, but filled me with enough enthusiasm to get through being young and bored.

these are my memories of the times that i forgot about. so good, they came around at some unexpected time. like the time, now, at diedra's house, listening to modest mouse and girl talking; thinking about how you don't really realize what is going on until the moment has already passed. i know that today i know that there are things that are happening that will make me happy later.

these pictures are us planning to go to fdr and ride mopeds. this was fall and so many changes happened and oh man, they were so good, now that i think about it.

Slaughterrama - the idea

well, Richmond, VA happened this weekend. Just when i thought about giving up on the chance that i might get off work, find money, and convince my friend to take me with him, well, it all happened. After packing up 4 mopeds in the truck, we left. As soon as we hit richmond city limits we took off our clothes and drank beer. For some crazy reason, after being stolen and broken for (a longtime) my moped worked and carried me through the 4 days i was there. I really wish that i could remember all of the romantic feelings that i felt while riding my moped but, i do have to say that i enjoyed all the rides but i was also very scared on the long ride which was about 30 miles around richmond; mopeds were falling apart and there was about 150 of us on riding pretty close together with a huge 2 stroke cloud above us the whole time. After the WHY'DYOUBREAKYOURMOPED? ride we went to slaughterrama, where everybody was wasted and getting naked, then 821, then a party, then mimosas, then here i am, back to the normal life. you know, my computer, the work i'm not doing, the same bothering, grown up thoughts happening. richmond happened and its over, but i know 20 more names than i did before, and have a few stories to tell.

i finally got these pictures in of my birthday and some impromptu show that i went to with my friend deiedra. my birthday was amazing, the big 21 came with ease.
today is a busy day of me getting everything together so i can make my way down south to richmond, va for a moped rally. getting the day off, skipping school(pending), eating fake meatballs, seeing people i know get arrested for protesting, has made today packed, i can't wait.

this weekend started off pretty strong and ended great. the middle part got a little hazy. i missed the slits and chance djing, but i did get over 15 hours of sleep. oh and i found out that there is an online community called stylemob. it seems like a good idea but it also seems as though it could be real weird at times, i like weird sometimes. tonight i had a lovely dinner with my interesting friends, who always have an interesting flow to all of their conversations. happy easter......

today is beautiful outside so i decided that today could be a good day to fix my flat tire on my moped. i went for a walk in clark park and found these cute birds. the guy named "duck" told me to buy the elephants because they were good luck. instead i took a picture of them and then gathered my birds and bought a whoopie pie...

this photographer, yosigo, makes me miss my home and my old life, the life of a constant spring break, white wine, and few worries. well i can't really say "old". but these photos do also bring so many feelings of stillness and distance.
today is the after math of wine drinking in rittenhouse and drinking white russians on a banana seat bike. im lucky that i can take naps at my job and eat good filling food. after getting down on the fact that time not only moves people closer but also very far apart, i thought, "progression? maybe" i mean, why do people move to and from so much - new expectations, transitions, priorities, but there are still people who started off with you and are still around in the end. It's strange to think about...

today was amazing outside. the day started off with a call from my best friend ian who prompted a meeting at the coffee shop, where i met the cutest pair of dogs; although they look pretty small, that is their adult size. Chance found us and we worked on mopeds. as always i manage to get mine to work, but with no surprise, i got a flat tire on the way to get spark plugs. nevertheless, a good day and many photos to show

oh yeah, the painting was placed in the tree by someone having a good time, i guess.

remember looking at the sun and feeling like you were getting high. i wouldn't recommend starting at the sun, but remember taking it like a challenge? a challenge to see how long you could stare at it...the forbidden burning flame... man, being young is daring..

this weekend i went to a new friends house to enjoy the pennslyvania country air and find a new view to day dream about while i'm dodging broken windows and light pollution. the most amazing flea market is located out in this lush land. i did manage to find some old silver bridges with some fake teeth still intact, along with many other interesting inexpensive oldies. my friends metthea and rhodes live with their amazingly sweet parents in an old 200 year old farm house on some acres of land, absolutely beautiful.

but most of all, this boat house is amazing, i mean why not?

today while deciding to not do my obligations and maybe contemplate going to sleep at 8:00, something told me to start something new. Recently I have found myself searching the internet and many other places and corralling all my interest into a pile of messy bookmarks. Sort of like a time line of my ever changing mind, this should be a new insight into my attractions. With my changing interest and ongoing, most simply complicated life, documenting these new experiences, which day to day, keep me amused, intrigued, excitable, could be interesting.
